Greater Milwaukee Otolaryngology (GMO) provides a wide range of services including Audiology. Our Audiologists diagnose and treat hearing and balance disorders, offering the most advanced digital hearing aids.
If you suspect you may have a hearing loss you should consider having your hearing tested. Our audiologists conduct a wide variety of tests to determine the exact nature of an individual’s hearing problem. We will take the time to obtain a comprehensive hearing case history, and to provide the most accurate evaluation of your hearing. At the conclusion of the test, the audiologist will discuss the results with you and determine if a hearing loss is present. If so, the type, degree and symmetry of the hearing loss will be determined, as well as if a hearing aid would be recommended for you.
If a hearing aid is recommended, we will offer information and brochures that will initiate the process for obtaining one. GMO offers the latest advances in hearing aid technology. We offer a wide variety of digital hearing aids, as well as a large range of styles of hearing aids from the Behind the Ear (BTE) to the Completely in the Canal (CIC). We also offer the latest in Open-Ear Technology and Bluetooth-compatible hearing aids. We will discuss what would be most appropriate for your hearing loss and lifestyle and communication needs.
Our audiologists also perform Electronystagmography (ENG) testing, for dizziness and balance related problems. The ENG is a test of your inner ear balance system, and takes about 90 minutes.
Our audiologists also offer the most current in Tinnitus treatments and counseling as well as tinnitus assessments.
